I have bee struggling with student loans for 8 years now. Its like a relationship. It has its ups and downs. I try to break it off, but Im stuck in this relationship for LIFE.

There are laws that suppose to help, but how can you prove that a LOAN has enslaved you. Thats what it is slavery. Signing your life away on a promissary note. If only I could do it over again. (We all say that.)

I check the balance on my student loans from time to time, but its like the number are so close in range I can't believe that these are the same loans I pay $400 a month on.

Compared to some my $16,000 debt seems small, but when you only make 10.50 hr, ITS GIGANTIC. I don't know sometimes where the loans are. I thought they were one company, but I got behind. I was informed that my debt was split up and sold to different creditors. Talked to each creditor, and they all want separate payment of $100 a month. How can I do that?? My rent is $650, I have a car $400, I have to buy gas, to put in that car, that takes me to that job which pays me the money you want me to make, so you can take. I DON'T UNDERSTAND...

Getting back to the loans. These different creditors then informed me that they each will apply interest on the already high loans that im stuck with for LIFE. I see these stars on tv walk around with 20, 000 dollars in their pockets and our goverment give away BILLIONS of dollars to companies. Why can't I get $16, 000 to pay off these loans.

I tried to pay it for a while but I couldn't keep up with the payments, got behind. Then here they come the STUDENT LOANS, letting me know they are not going anywhere, only getting BIGGER. I go to work, on the bullentin board a letter for me. GARNISHMENT PAPERS, from not one but TWO differents collection agencies. These people didn't ask, they told me they were going to take 15% for one, 10% for the other for a maximum of 25% AFTER TAXES!!!! I cried...How can I live.!!!I called and I asked, is there anything I can do, they told me No. They told me they tried to contact me. I didn't get contacted. They told me that they are give this right by law that they can go to court without me there, contact me at an address I no longer live at (THEY FOUND MY JOB THOUGH), and take my money. HOW? WHY? They don't help you because they don't have to....ITS FOR LIFE..

Everyday that $16,000 grows at 22% interest, and I can do nothing about it. I can't file bankruptcy for student loans. I can't quit my job because its not guaranteed I'll find another. I can't go back to school to get a better job, because I can't get financial aid. Short of Suicide, IM SCREWED!!!

WHAT CAN I DO?????
